St. Faustina Parish Pastoral Council
The Pastoral Council, composed of members of the congregation, is a consultative body for the Pastor that strives to discern the movement of the Holy Spirit among God's people in the parish and foster a community of prayer, leadership, service and pastoral action. The Council advises the Pastor on parish policy, fosters good communication, clarifies parish vision, establishes goals and evaluates the needs of the parish community.
V The Council will meet at least four (4) times a year; the anticipated schedule for 2009-2010 is monthly, on the 1st Thursday of each month. V Any council member or parishioner may submit a written item to the agenda for consideration by the Council - this item must be received by the Pastor and Chairperson no later than fourteen (14) days prior to the next Council meeting for consideration. V Parishioners may address the Council in person or submit questions &/or remarks to the Council in writing. Such addresses/requests to address must be submitted to the Council no later than fourteen (14) days prior to the next scheduled meeting. V Parishioners wishing to address the Council at any regularly scheduled meeting are to make a written request to do so. Requests to address the SFPPC should be submitted to the Chairperson who will consult the Pastor; the subject duly reviewed with such persons. The address will be included on the next meeting agenda, if approved, for the common good or for pastoral reasons.
