Our Ministries

Altar Servers V The role of the Altar Server at St. Faustina Catholic Church is to assist the Celebrant during Mass.  Boys and girls are encouraged to be Altar Servers.  Students who have received the Sacrament of the Eucharist are eligible to participate.

Columbiettes V The Columbiettes is a unified body of Catholic women who work side by side with the Knights of Columbus.  As a Columbiette, we dedicate ourselves to do God's work here on earth, promoting Unity, Christ's love for all, and zeal to serve God through Faith, Hope and Charity.  We promote deep religious convictions, such as:  retreats, Eucharistic Ministry, volunteering with Religious Education.  We also raise money for our church, community, and our families of the community.  Membership is open to all women, age 17 and over, regardless of familial association with the KofC (you do not have to be related to a Knight to join).  meetings:  4th Thursday of the month at 7pm

Food Pantry V The Food Pantry accepts donations from the generous members of our parish as well as friends and merchants of the Four Corners Area.  After all items are thoroughly checked for currency of expiration dates and security of packages, the date of receipt by the pantry is marked on each item to insure freshness.  It is then our privilege to distribute packages to those families in need.

Fundraising V Fundraising works to raise funds to assist with operational expenses and construction needs.

Junior Legion of Mary V An extension of the Legion of Mary, the Junior Legion of Mary is an organization for the spiritual development of persons under 18 years of age.  Our membership attends weekly meetings and participates in Legion work.  This "work" consists of making rosaries and other works of charity and prayer, in other words, corporal & spiritual works of mercy in our parish and wider community.  meetings:  Sunday afternoons at 1pm

Knights of Columbus #14217 V The Knights of Columbus is a Roman Catholic fraternal service organization dedicated to the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.  Knights are Catholic men, 18 years of age and older, who are committed to making their community a better place, while supporting their Church and enhancing their own faith. Our council (#14217) was formed February 3, 2007.  Fr. Jean, a Knight, presides as Chaplin.   meetings:  3rd Thursday the month, Officers @ 6:30pm, General Membership @ 7pm

Legion of Mary V Rooted in Marian spirituality and commitment to the Holy Spirit, the life of the Legion of Mary is based on Faith in the joint action of the Spirit and our Lady in the work of Redemption, and the spread of the Kingdom of God throughout the world.  Members become instruments of the Holy Spirit through a balanced program of prayer and service.  Our membership attends weekly meetings for prayer, planning, and discussion in a family setting.  Then they do 2 hours of definite 'work' each week in pairs, under the guidance of their spiritual director.  meetings:  Monday evenings at 7pm

Liturgical Ministries V The Liturgical Committee's first and foremost goal is to assist the parish priest as needed.  Secondly, the committee is responsible for fostering meaningful worship and spirituality.  The desire of our committee is to work with all church ministries and committees with Christian love to extend the Kingdom of God for His glory and honor.

V Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the Priest in giving the precious Body and Blood of Christ to the Christian community.  Attendance at a 3 hour training session given by the Diocese of Orlando is required.

V Ministers of Hospitality assist the Priest in welcoming all parishioners to the celebration of the Mass; set a positive, Christ-like, receptive tone so all may feel a part of the parish family; and serve the individual needs of those present for our parish liturgies.  In addition to welcoming parishioners, Hospitality Ministers also assist with parking, seating, the offertory collection, ushering, and distribution of Church Bulletins and other related literature.

V Lectors/Readers proclaim the Word of God to God's people at Mass.  Prior to Mass, time is spent in prayer and practice of the readings.  The Diocese of Orlando provides training for Readers.

V Mass Captains oversee the smooth operation of the celebration of Mass.  They are responsible for oversight of all volunteer coordination for a particular Mass and are there to assist the priest with any situation that may arise.

V Sacristans prepare the sanctuary for Liturgy.

Loaves and Fishes V This new ministry works to organize social events for the parish which require 'feeding of the multitudes' (for example:  parish hosted receptions, bereavement social gatherings, etc.).  We are only able to accomplish our work with the assistance of our parishioners.  Loaves and Fishes keeps a list of names and phone numbers of people who are willing to generously donate prepared foods in all categories for the different social events of the parish, calling on our volunteers as need arises.

Music Ministry V Whether you play an instrument or sing, new volunteers interested in becoming active in music ministry at St. Faustina are encouraged share their talents in service to our parish community.  The goal of music ministry is to enhance the worship experience of the congregation with the prayer and beauty of music.

Pastoral Care Ministry/ Ministry of Care to the Sick V This ministry works with the ill and/or homebound members of our parish community, reaching out to our parishioners where they reside to share the Gospel of the day and serving as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (who have been specially trained with respect to ministering to the ill/homebound).  An all day training session is required to serve in this capacity.

Pastoral Council V The Pastoral Council, composed of members of the congregation, is a consultative body for the Pastor that strives to discern the movement of the Holy Spirit among God's people in the parish and foster a community of prayer, leadership, service and pastoral action.  The Council advises the Pastor on parish policy, fosters good communication, clarifies parish vision, establishes goals and evaluates the needs of the parish community.

Religious Education V Sessions for the religious formation of students in grades pre-k through 8th grade are offered on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

Welcome/New Parishioner Ministry V The "new parishioner" Welcome Ministry is basically the St. Faustina Welcome Wagon.  We visit new families with packets that describe our Parish, distribute budget envelopes, and a welcome gift.  Extending a hand of friendship, we assist families to feel comfortable with the transition to our neighborhood and Catholic community.
