Rev. Jean Hughes Desir

The third of four children, Father Jean was born in Limbe, a town on the north coast of Haiti.  He entered the Novitiate in 1989 and pronounced his first temporary vows in August in 1990.  After a period of discernment, Father Jean was accepted as a seminarian by the Diocese of Orlando in 1998, and entered the St. John Vianney Seminary where he earned his undergraduate degree in philosophy (2000) and completed his theological formation.  He became a transitional deacon on May 8, 2003, and was ordained a priest on May 28, 2004.  Fr. Jean's first assignment as a priest was at St. Joseph, Palm Bay; followed by Blessed Trinity, Ocala.  Bishop Thomas Wenski announced the appointment of Father Jean Hughes Desir as Parochial Administrator of St. Faustina Parish in Clermont effective January 12, 2009.
